It's important to keep your Sage/Pastel product up-to-date so that you remain compliant and keep your data secure and error-free.

To check the version of your Pastel product, go to Help, About. The latest versions of the products are:

Xpress & Partner: Version 19.4.3 (released 2 Oct 2023)
Pastel Payroll: 2024 Update 2a (released 22 Nov 2023)
Sage VIP / SBCPP: Release 6.1b (released 13 Nov 2023)
Pervasive: Version 13

Latest Features & Fixes - Pastel Xpress / Partner / 50c Accounting (19.4.3):

Latest Features & Fixes - Pastel Xpress / Partner / 50c Accounting (19.4.3):

  • A menu option for the online Download Manager can be found under Help...Internet.
  • Any negative values on the Income Statement will display in brackets ().
  • A weblink for the Terms & Conditions can be found under Help...Internet.
  • The contact telephone number has been updated to 086 123 SAGE (7243).
  • Enhanced the serial number scanning capability.
  • A runtime error 5 will no longer be received when setting up inventory on Start New Company.
  • Customer listing report will include the last customer when ‘Customer Category Sequence’ is selected.
  • The tabbing sequence has been updated when using the ‘Enter’ key on the Bank Reconciliation assistant.
  • On Pervasive 13, when registering for 9 users 9 Pervasive licenses will be correctly assigned to the License Administrator.
  • A runtime error 380 will no longer be received when running through the Reorder Assistant.
  • Database fields will clear after processing a receipt reversal (POS).
  • Sage Connected Services has been upgraded to version 3.0.6.

Latest Features & Fixes - Pervasive Version 13:

Actian (the company that provides and develops Pervasive) no longer supports earlier Pervasive versions. Sage are therefore encouraging all of their clients to upgrade to Pervasive version 13.
  • Pastel tables update faster and more reliably
  • File structure less prone to corruption than previous versions

Your annual licence fee includes upgrades to the latest versions. Although the software is free, we will charge for time to upgrade your version. There may be a minimal charge to upgrade the Pervasive version.
