Sage have released updates for their accounting and payroll software.

To check the version of your Pastel product, go to Help, About. The latest versions of the products are:

Xpress & Partner: Version 19.4.3 (released 12 Oct 2023)
Pastel Payroll: 2024 Update 2 (released 19 Sep 2023)
Sage VIP / SBCPP: Release 6.1a (released 18 Sep 2023)
Pervasive: Version 13

Latest Features & Fixes - Pastel Xpress / Partner / 50c Accounting (19.4.2)

Latest Features & Fixes - Pastel Payroll (2024 update 2)
  • Employment Verification Services has been amended to synchronise data with the Sage Digital Network when a Pay Period Update is performed.
  • Error messages reflecting the old contact number have been amended to reflect the new contact number.
  • The IRP5/IT3(a) export file tested successful against SARS E@syfile Beta.
  • Periodic Variance report will no longer include transactions without a variance, when “Show Variance Only” has been selected.
  • The temporary directors will no longer show for all countries, only Mauritius.
  • The Leve Holiday Bonus transaction will no longer be added for all companies, only companies using Electrical Council
  • MIBFA – The contributions for the Pension & Provident funds have been
    increased.
  • MIBCO – New rates for Additional Holiday Fund has been applied.
  • Electrical – A new transaction, transaction template and changes to the formulas have been applied for the Leave Bonus and Leave Bonus accrual.
  • Aha! Ideas link has been added to the ‘Help’ menu and can be access by consultants and business partners in Consulting Mode.

Latest Features & Fixes - Pervasive Version 13

Actian (the company that provides and develops Pervasive) no longer supports earlier Pervasive versions. Sage are therefore encouraging all of their clients to upgrade to Pervasive version 13.
  • Pastel tables update faster and more reliably
  • File structure less prone to corruption than previous versions

Your annual licence fee includes upgrades to the latest versions. Although the software is free, we will charge for time to upgrade your version. There may be a minimal charge to upgrade the Pervasive version.
